9/12 E36M3 2JZ update

Got the correct clutch and installed the drivetrain back in. I couldn’t find a donor driveshaft from a MKIII Supra but was able to get a front slip yolk from Jim’s Drivetrain here in Boise. Jim’s will be building the drive shaft using the stock BMW front and rear shaft, he will adapt the Toyota slip to the front of the BMW shaft.

All cars should have one of these under the hood.



The shifter comes out right in the middle of the console. Nice.



Although the motor fits… it is a tight fit.  As you can see here fire wall clearance is at a minimum.



Next… wiring, power steering reservoir and hoses, exhaust, rad, hoses, sensors, fluids, etc… I should get to work!
